Medallion Hunt begins ~ Fifth Clue will be POSTED at City Hall and Gilbert Public Library at 8:00 a.m., printed in the Mesabi Daily News & announced on WEVE. Brush up on your "Gilbert" history to win $2008.00!!! Sponsored by RLK Inc. (Must be registered with a numbered button to be eligible!)

Pancake Breakfast 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Gilbert VFW sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary #4456.

Ecumenical Service and Centennial Closing Ceremony at the Gilbert High School Gymnasium at 8:00 a.m.

Sixth Annual Beach to Beach Swim / (Run optional). Start at 11 a.m.; pictures and instructions at 10:45 a.m. Begin at Eveleth Beach swim to Sparta Beach where there will be refreshments and snacks. 5K Run back to Eveleth Beach. Lawn Mower Races 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. lot across from Delta Dental on South Broadway. Registration will be day of the races.

“Iron Ranger” Dinner 4 - 7 p.m. Downstairs of St. Joseph's Catholic Church sponsored by the Ladies of St. Joseph’s. Menu: Porketta & Sloppy Joe Sandwiches, Cheesy Potatoes, Funeral Cabbage, Chips, Death by Chocolate dessert Cost is $6-$7/person.

Street Dance on South Broadway 8 p.m. – 12 midnight featuring music by "Pyschobabble" (Twin Cities Band) sponsored by Devo's Sand Bar, Jim's Seldom Inn and Amy's Bar

City of Gilbert Centennial Events - July 1st, 2008

3 - 7 p.m. Members of the public are invited to bring historic Gilbert materials for display during the Centennial in the Community Center Dining Room. The materials will be tagged and exhibited securely. Use the back parking lot and marked back door for delivery. Materials will be available for pick-up on Sunday July 6th.

Little Miss Gilbert Drawing and Coronation Ceremony 7 p.m. at Community Center Auditorium.
